First glances of a wonderful new world!

6:00am Mountain Time:
The flight attendant nudges my drool-drenched shoulder as and asks me if I want breakfast. Several seconds later, after I clear my eyes and regain my memories of the previous night, I nod and proceed to put down my mini-table and wake my Columbian companion. As standard, I found a continental breakfast consisting of 2 pancakes, 1 muffin, 1 undetermined pastry, a side of eggs, and assorted condiments and eggs. I quickly (but not as quickly as my new friend) finish the meal and continue on to my stash of homemade cookies.

(0.5 hours later) 10:30am Santiago Time:
We find, to our extreme dismay, that our bags are ALL still in Houston, Texas. The very first thing we did was to find the nearest Chilean Walgreens to find toothbrushes and toothpaste. Too bad we didn't have any sunscreen... or more water...

12:00pm
It took nearly 1.5 hours to get through the LINE and BAGGAGE CLAIM because if our flight mistake... I made it through Customs with no troubles at all though. I carried 1 large bag of oatmeal cookies, 3 smaller bags of cookies, 1 liter of water, 0.5 bags of chips, 3 bars of chocolate (that I didn't get a chance to eat...) and some other things I thought the police dogs would catch me on. Guess the stinky shoes warded them off..........

12:01pm
It is unbelievable HOT. We didn't even have to leave the airport to realize that our water intake was far too low to be comfortable in the extreme HEAT. hahaha... Miami Heat... 'Cause there are 2 Flordians in the group... hahah— I'm done.

12:27pm
We finally finished lunch in our miserable state with little to no plans... Time to get into the cars and drive for flipping hours! Hope I get used to this!

1:12pm
First Chilean Gas Station!--- IT IS AMAZING. If you ever go to Chile, always use the Pronto gas stations, never try the off brand if you are on the main highway.

1:18pm
Sean decided that I should be the one to meet Jose Ignacio Torrealba, our Chilean Student for the semester. I am so honored... I think...

2:00pm
JOSE IS LOADED! HIS HOUSE HAS AN OVERFLOW POOL IN THE BACKYARD THAT DOUBLES AS A INFINITE POOL.... So how was your day?

Continued tomorrow morning (probably)....
